Travelling with children

Children also need identification documents when travelling abroad. These are only valid in conjunction with the parents' identity cards.

If minors travel abroad unaccompanied by the parents, it may be necessary to enclose a decalartion of consent from the parents with the identity document.

This applies, for example, when minors travel with their grandparents or adult siblings.
